PRAYER WALKING SCRIPTURES
FOR THE CHURCH TO BE EFFECTIVE IN GOD’S
STRENGTH:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes
on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and
in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
(Acts 1:8)
FOR GOD’S FAVOR:
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has
anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the
Lord’s favor.” (Luke 4:19-20)
FOR THE PEACE OF THE CITY:
Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which
I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it,
because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” (Jeremiah
29:7).
FOR SALVATION:
“I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn
them from darkness to light, and from the power of
Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of
sins and a place among those who are sanctified by
faith in me.” (Acts 26:17b-18)
FOR HEARTS TO BE OPENED:
“One who heard us was a woman named Lydia, from
the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple goods, who was a
worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to pay
attention to what was said by Paul” (Acts 16:14, ESV).
FOR THE HEALING OF THE LAND:
“if my people who are called by my name humble
themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from
their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will
forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14,
ESV).
FOR DOORS OF OPPORTUNITY:
“At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open
to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of
Christ, on account of which I am in prison – that I may
make it clear, which is how I ought to speak” (Colossians
4:3-4, ESV).
FOR THOSE IN AUTHORITY:
“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers,
intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,
for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may
lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in
every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of
God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and
to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:1-
4, ESV).
FOR GOOD FRUIT:
20 Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word,
accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty,
some a hundred times what was sown.” (Mark 4:20)
FOR GOD’S KINGDOM TO GROW:
He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven
is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in
his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when
it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a
tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”
Matthew 13:31-32
FOR THE ENEMY TO BE DEFEATED
6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come near to God and he will come near
to you (James 4:6-8a).
FOR WORKERS FOR THE HARVEST
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a
shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest,
therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (Matthew 9:36-38).
FOR STRENGTH TO PERSEVERE
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as
we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers (Galatians
